Run by Captain Alison, Officer Joyce, Auxiliary helpers Wendy, Heather, Judy and Rachel; occasionally joined by Helen, Ida, Betty and Kay along with other members of the church, for help with special occasions and projects.

Explorers – P1-
Explorer Leader – Joyce
The theme for the explorers this year is the 4 Seasons. We are currently focusing
on the world in Spring, looking at nature and some of God’s creatures the girls will
come across in the springtime. The girls will be learning new songs, playing games,
taking on different craft projects and even having a go and growing their own spring
flowers.
Juniors – P4-
Junior Leader – Heather
The Juniors earn their badges by completing badgework under the 4 sections; Physical, Spiritual, Educational and Service.
Topics covered under the different badgework sections include Fundraising Sports and People who Changed the World, and include activities such as games, crafts, stories and team projects.
Brigaders – s1-
Brigader Leader – Alison
As well as their badge work, and the opportunity to work with younger members of the company, the girls are able to attend social and training events organised by Renfrewshire Division GB, aimed at teaching the girls leadership skills which will enable them to volunteer as young leaders within the company. Many of the Brigaders are involved in playing games and leading company worship with the younger girls. Our Brigaders learn to become independent, responsible young women, and are great role models for the younger girls.
The Brigaders badge work this year includes the following:
The Brigaders also work towards earning their badges through the 4 badgework sections. This session badgework topics include People who changed the world, Wii Zumba Fitness and Getting to Know You.
The Brigaders also take part in activities such as games, stories and crafts as well as group discussions and group work which often takes place over a big mug of hot chocolate!
At least once a year we try to organise treat night for the Brigaders, such as sleepovers, stay awakes and pamper nights, where the older girls in the company can have some time to themselves to chill out and have fun together.
We also hold a Pyjama Party every year in October for the whole company, with movies, popcorn and face painting as well as fun and games for all the girls.
In October 2011 we held our first ever Fashion Show at Matalan Linwood, where every girl in the company chose an outfit to model on the catwalk. We had a fantastic time on the night and even raised enough money to pay for the girls’ Christmas party and some craft supplies for the company. We hope to do the same again next session!
