Peter was called to Erskine in 2009 as his first charge following a number of years studying at International Christian College for a BA in Theology and an honours BD in Divinity at the Scottish Baptist College.

A Chartered Accountant, he works bi-vocationally to support the ministry at Erskine. He is employed by the United Free Church of Scotland as accountant and is Finance Director for the Baptist Union of Scotland.

Leaders

The minister is just one of a group of leaders, called deacons, who have been appointed by the church to have responsibility for various aspects of the running of the church.

Baptist churches are congregational in government and seek to make decisions based on consensus.
